Planning judgement: Kannod offers larger nearby towns and regional overlap with Khategaon. Merchant commitments and field costs can change this order. Khategaon remains a decided launch.

Census classification and the 30 km town search
Town means an urban settlement in Census 2011. NP (Nagar Panchayat) and M (Municipality) are statutory towns. They are distinct from the specific Census Town (CT) category. None of the current shortlist is labelled CT. Village records remain villages even where population exceeds 5,000; size alone does not establish town status.
New near Ichhawar: Kothri / Kothri Kalan (10,526; NP; roughly 25 km published route, pin to confirm) and Sehore (108,909 in the municipality proper; 21.4 km road). Kothri is the first satellite-town survey priority. Sehore is a separate city-scale opportunity rather than an ordinary satellite. Existing villages remain visible for commercial coverage.
Khategaon: Kannod is already a planned main-town launch around 20 km away; no additional 2011-classified town within roughly 30 km was substantiated by this desk search. Nemawar was a Census village in 2011, although later municipal records list it as a town. Harda (~36–37 km road) is outside this search limit. Kannod: Satwas, Kantaphod and Loharda were already included as statutory towns. Rehti remains in the Bhairunda cluster as your existing candidate, although its indicative road distance is around 33 km.
This is a sourced desk shortlist, not a certified exhaustive road-radius survey. Older directory distances are nearest-town references, not newly calculated road routes. Current municipal status must not be read back into the 2011 classification.

*2026 estimate method
Planning estimates, not Census counts. Each 2011 settlement population is projected forward 15 years at its district's published 2001–2011 growth pace, then rounded to the nearest 100.
Formula: 2026 estimate = 2011 population × (1 + district decadal growth)1.5.
Dewas: 19.53% per decade (about 1.80% a year). Sehore: 21.54% (about 1.97% a year). Harda: 20.25% (about 1.86% a year). Handia uses Harda; the remaining Khategaon/Kannod entries use Dewas; Ichhawar/Bhairunda entries use Sehore.
These are uniform district-trend extrapolations. They do not measure each settlement's current growth, migration, municipal expansion or shop catchment. Local growth may be lower or higher. Map labels retain the 2011 counts. Rankings are unchanged.
How to use this map
- P1 is a survey priority, not a final spend approval. Confirm eligible shops, merchant willingness, repeat-shopping flow and weekly field cost.
- Near-town coverage: Sandalpur and Ajnas can share Khategaon coverage. Nanasa can share Kannod coverage. Do not automatically fund each as an independent launch.
- 2011 figures are historical settlement counts; the separate 2026 column contains model estimates. Both exclude surrounding catchments. No combined TAM is calculated because shopping catchments can overlap.
- Directory distances are historical nearest-town references. Other distances are approximate published road/bus figures. Verify the exact market pin and route before scheduling a team.
- The uploaded TAM workbook was not accessible in this session. This version uses public-source records and has not been reconciled with your workings.
- Road basemap and zoom controls require internet access. The population table and source links remain available if the basemap fails.
